Vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) is native to Mexico, where the indigenous Totonac people cultivated the vine centuries before Europeans encountered it. The characteristic vanillin compound that defines vanilla’s flavor is produced during the months-long curing process of the green pods. Over a smooth black tea base, vanilla creates a cup that is warm, comforting, and gently sweet without added sugar.

In quality loose-leaf versions, the vanilla character is typically natural vanilla extract or vanilla bean pieces rather than artificial vanillin, delivering genuine warmth and sweetness.

In the cup, Vanilla Bean Tea brews a warm amber with a rich, warm, vanilla-sweet aroma. The body is medium and smooth, the finish naturally sweet and comforting.
